Italy ready to settle case of Al-Ahli Benghazi and Al-Tahady football players

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs media office, Ahmad Al-Arbad said on Friday, the Foreign Ministry is following the case of Al-Ahli Benghazi and Al-Tahady football players held in Italy.

Al-Arbad told ArraedLG, foreign minister, Mohamed Al-Sayala discussed with Italian interior minister, Marco Minetti the issue during their meeting last Wednesday in Rome.

Al-Arbad confirmed that Minetti informed Al-Sayala of his understanding and readiness to find a solution to the issue of the players.

Italy detained the players in 2014 on charges of human trafficking after they arrived to Italy by sea.
