Corriere della Sera, an Italian newspaper, reported that intelligence aircraft carrying out missions in Libyan airspace in recent weeks belong to the United States.
The Italian newspaper said on its website on Thursday, the flights made by these aircraft were focused on “monitoring terrorist groups seeking to expand their presence in Libya.”
The “Corriere della Sera” added that the intelligence aircraft take off from Sicily, and Crete, towards Libya, indicating the ability of these aircraft to intercept communications, follow-up movements and map out territories.
The United States renewed its cooperation with the Government of National Accord (GNA) in the face of militant organizations.
