The head of the Presidential Council (PC), Faiz Al-Sarraj, accompanied by his deputies, inspected Metiga international airport to follow up the resumption of air traffic and the return of passenger service to normal.
Al-Saraj discussed with airport officials how to improve a number of vital facilities in the airport, stressing the need to complete the shortcomings with the help of local companies, according to the PC media office.
The members of the PC met with the minister of Commute and Security Command at the airport; to follow up the measures taken to secure it and improve the service provided to passengers.
The airport resumed its flights on Saturday, five days after the closure as a result of armed clashes that left 25 people dead and more than 100 injured.
