Libyan Football Federation reveals the list of players participating in CHAN

The Libyan Football Federation (LFF) unveiled, on Monday the Libyan squad that will participate in the African Nations Championship (CHAN).

The list included a number of young faces in all positions, including the goalkeeper’s with an a call for both Ahmed Azzakah, Ali Ishnina, in addition to the team’s first goalkeeper Mohamed Nashnoush.

On the defense side, Al-Mahdi Al-Huni, Al-Mutasim BiAllah Sabo, Sanad Al-Warfali, Ahmad Al-Terbi, Saad Ijbara, Ali Matoug and Ahmad Al-Mqass, were all called for action..

The centerline will consist of Zakaria El Harish, Mohamed El Terhouni, Abdel Moin Khmadaj, Bader Hassan, Abdel Rahman Alamami, Shamik Al Obeidi, Salem Abelou and Omar Oreibi.

All of  Amer Al-Tawergi, Moftah Taqtaq, Saleh Al-Tahir, Abdul Salam Al-Fitouri and Mutasim Abu-Shnaf will lead the Libyan attack in the competition.

Al-Ittihad player Mohamed Al-Tabal, will not make it to the tournament due to injury, while  Al-Ahli Tripoli trio , Moayad Al-Lafi, Mohamed Al-Ghanoudi and Mohamed Sula, are absent from the list following news that they are close to signing professional contracts, which contravenes the regulations of CHAN, which disqualifies professional player from participating with their national teams in the local championship.

The draw for the tournament, hosted by Morocco, put the national team in Group C with Nigeria, Rwanda and Equatorial Guinea.
