The spokesperson for Al-Bayan Al-Marsous Operation Room General Mohammed Al-Ghassari told Arraed LG on Sunday, which marked the first anniversary of the liberation of Sirte from ISIS, that they have been monitoring movements of remnants of ISIS.
He added that Sirte liberation resulted in 750 martyrs and more than 3000 wounded. He congratulated all the martyrs’ families, promising them that the blood of their children will not be wasted in vain.
Al-Ghassari explained that Al-Bayan Al-Marsous united all Libyans in the east, west and south, with different orientations. The battle of the operation room was against the enemies of Libya, and ISIS is an enemy of all Libyans. He added that ISIS does not differentiate between a president, a deputy or a council of state.
The forces of Al-Bayan Al-Marsous announced on December 5 of last year the liberation of the city of Sirte from ISIS.
