Commander of the Presidential Guard discusses support for security institutions with the Pentagon

The commander of the Presidential Guard Major General Najmi Al-Nekou discussed with the security officials at the Pentagon cooperation in the field of training, equipping, and arming.

According to the Media Office of the Presidential Council, the American side expressed its support for the proposals to train the presidential guard and provide a program on the mechanism of implementation; expressing satisfaction with the Presidential Guard’s vital functions in achieving security in Libya.

The two sides also stressed the importance of building a unified military institution and ending the political, military, and security divisions that are ravaging the country.

It is noteworthy that the meeting took place on the sidelines of the official visit of the President of the Presidential Council Fayz Al-Sarraj to the United States of America last Thursday.
