The Libyan Human Rights Organization (LRO) warned of a “humanitarian disaster” as a result of the continuing “escalation of violence” in Wershafana.
In a statement issued on Monday, the organization condemned the silence of the Presidential Council on what was happening in the region; calling on the international community to intervene in what it described as a power struggle, to comply with the UN Charter of Human Rights, and not to target civilians and their property.
