A spokesman for Operation Dignity, Ahmed Al-Mesmari said that military officers from the regions of Libya will meet, next Sunday in Cairo under the advocacy of the Egyptian army chief of staff, Mahmoud Ibrahim Hijazi.
On Friday Al-Mesmari stated to the Italian press AKI, that about 20 officers representing Libyan regions and in coordination with officers of Misrata and the commander of the Western military zone Idriss Madi of Operation Dignity and others from the eastern region will be attending.
He explained that this will be the third meeting in addressing the “unification of the military in Libya,” referring to their intention to form a council or a unified military body that includes all members of the “forces away from politics,” as he put it.
