The head of the follow-up team in charge of the Ministry of Health of the #GNA in #Sabratha Siraj Al-Sori , said that the final outcome of the clashes in the city amounted to 43 dead and 340 injured.
Siraj released a statement to Arraed LG on Tuesday stating that the hospitals in the city have gradually returned to work. The dialysis department and the outpatient clinics of the oncology hospital began to receive citizens.The Hospital of #Sabratha has partially reopened its’ emergency department for the past two days.
In relation to the damage to the health centers in the city, Siraj explained that the health care unit of the city’s service department was severely damaged, in turn, this resulted in damage to all medicines such as diabetes medication and vaccinations.
Siraj pointed out that the #Sabratha educational hospital requires urgent intervention in order to preserve the drugs in storage, as the the sewage system has sustained serious damage, which could lead to the destruction of medicines. He added that other health centers in the city had limited damage sustained to the buildings and equipment.
