Italian Minister of Defense Roberta Pinotti said that #Italy recognizes the authority of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord, which is led by Fayez Al- Sarraj.
In an interview with Messaggero on Monday, Pinotti explained that all actors in #Libya should contribute to reshaping the political framework. “That is why [the Italian] government welcomed Khalifa Haftar,” she added.
She stressed the fact that #Italy wants #Libya “united and sound” and is ready to work, in concrete terms, with those who are sincerely committed to the path of stability in the country.
