On Tuesday, the Joint Security Council of Bani Walid renewed its warning against ISIS in the central region, stressing that ISIS has “re-trained its personnel, secured fuel supplies and provided communications lines”. As such, the council called on the authorities to unite and fight against ISIS.
In a statement published on their official Facebook page, the council placed responsibility on the official authorities that were briefed on ISIS’s activity to combat them prior to their growth and solidification in the region. The council added that ISIS now has the ability to initiate attacks; which has resulted in terrorist bombings that have claimed the lives of a number of individuals in the past period.
