Forces loyal to the GNA took over a building known to ISIS as “The House of Muslim Funds” finding jewelry made of gold, stacks of bills and weapons in it.

The valuables are believed to have been stolen by ISIS from the homes of locals who fled the rule of the terrorist state in Sirte last year.

Photos posted on the Libyan forces Facebook page showed stacks of Libyan and Tunisian bank notes, along with piles of gold jewelry, laptops, mobile phones and a stash of weapons.

The weapons found, were kalashnikov rifles, handguns and shotguns, were allegedly taken by ISIS from private citizens as ISIS forbade anyone to own a gun or rifle.

Under its rule, ISIS banned jewelry and all women were forced to cover themselves from head to toe and wear the face veil known as the niqab.

This weekend, Libyan forces were able to force ISIS out of Sirte’s main mosque and take over the prison where ISIS put anyone who opposed their rule.
