Egyptian Minister of Aide for Expatriates’ Affairs Hesham Al-Naqib, has confirmed the release of the 35 Egyptians who were detained in Libya.

He revealed, in a statement posted on the Egyptian Foreign Ministry website, today, that the Egyptians released were being held in shelters for illegal immigrants on the charges of begging and illegal immigration.

The minister called on Egyptians present in Libya to exercise the utmost caution and stay away from areas of tension and clashes. He also warned Egyptians from traveling to Libya at the present time, given the  circumstances of the country. He added that the detainees will arrive on Thursday morning to Egypt on board a Tunisair flight.
